Lions of London,
 
A signed giclée fine art print with mount from original watercolours.
 
Thames inspired artwork, featuring Samian pottery spouts. 

These have been recovered over the years from the River by myself and others at various locations.

These fragments are from Roman Mortariums (or mixing bowls)., that were imported to London in quantity in the 2nd & 3rd centuries. They were initially manufactured in central Gaul (France), and later in East Gaul (3rd century), in potteries located in Trier and Rheinzabern and shipped to Britain.

Later examples of the Lions heads became more ‘bat like’ with big ears in appearance.
